NOS Vintage Dia-Compe 981 Cantilever Brake F&R Set, MTB Mountain Bike Touring Japan. front and rear cantilever brake arms with pads, straddle cables, and hardware for frames and forks with cantilever boss posts. The Brake arms are dated 11/87

These are all New Old Stock Original Diacompe Brake parts and are around 40 years old.

This item is NOS (New old Stock) and has never been used.                                                My first job after school back in the 80’s was working at a bike shop in the Dandenong area, I worked there for quite a few years building, servicing bikes and serving customers.  Over the years, life moved on and I worked a variety of different jobs. As I got older, I found myself drawn back to bikes and restoration work on them. I was lucky enough to go back to the bike shop that I used to work at when they were about to close, and I was offered most of their stock and parts from out of the workshop. I have been hanging on to this stuff for quite some time and it’s now time to move it on, All the parts are new old stock and have never been used, however some of them may have a  small amount of surface rust and shelf wear.
