Vintage BMX 80`s SHIMANO SX hub front of rear hub chain protector

Vintage BMX 80`s SHIMANO SX hub chain protector for 2 speed set up, MADE IN JAPAN.These fit on the Frame side of the rear hub on a 2 speed setup and help prevent the chain getting stuck between the hub axel and the frame during bumpy gear shifts. These are quite hard to come buy in this condition

 My first job after school back in the 80’s was working at a bike shop in the Dandenong area, I worked there for quite a few years building, servicing bikes and serving customers.  Over the years, life moved on and I worked a variety of different jobs. As I got older, I found myself drawn back to bikes and restoration work on them. I was lucky enough to go back to the bike shop that I used to work at when they were about to close, and I was offered most of their stock and parts from out of the workshop. I have been hanging on to this stuff for quite some time and it’s now time to move it on, All the parts are new old stock and have never been used, however some of them may have a  small amount of surface rust and shelf wear.
